Press & about TrustBite
TrustBite is a food allergy app for iOS and Android. It helps people with food allergies and coeliac disease eat out and shop, at home and abroad: an allergen card for restaurant staff in 24 languages, a barcode scanner, and an alert when an official food recall concerns their allergens. TrustBite is built and run independently by Philipp Rosenfeld in Niederwiesa near Chemnitz, Germany.

Recall figures for your reporting
The Recall Radar collects official food-recall notices from the 15 sources above. Every month TrustBite publishes a report of the allergen-related recalls it recorded, broken down by country and by allergen. The current 30 days, with links to every monthly report: English · Deutsch.
- The reports count only allergen-related recalls, for example an allergen missing from the label. Recalls for other reasons, such as pathogens or foreign bodies, are not included — so the figures are not the total number of food recalls in a country.
- Recorded is not complete: a source without an entry does not mean there was no recall.
- Using the figures: please name “TrustBite Recall Radar” as the source and link to the report page.
What TrustBite is not
- It is not a medical device and gives no medical advice.
- It never gives the all-clear. A scan result reflects the data available for a product; users are always asked to read the label and to talk to restaurant staff.
- No alert system is complete. A recall that the Recall Radar does not show can still exist.
- Community finds are personal observations by other shoppers, never a safety verdict.
